DESCRIPTION:Presented by\nState of Columbia Public Schoolswith speaker Dr. Chris Belcher\, Superintendent We are in a period of great change in Columbia Public Schools.  The school district will welcome a new high school to the community and change the grade configuration of our secondary schools in 2013.  The district is managing increasing enrollment and decreasing revenues\; working to eliminate the achievement gap between groups of students\; and facing ever changing federal and state requirements.  With a vision to be the best school district in Missouri and a mission to provide an excellent education for all students how is CPS moving ahead.  Dr. Belcher will provide an update on ongoing activities and future plans for the school district as well as an opportunity for questions and answers.\n\nCost is $5 for both Women's Network members and guests.
