Our mission is to provide not just a place to stay\, but a home away from home that serves and sustains families of children being treated at area hospitals and facilities for one day\, one month or sometimes even longer. The House provides children a place to play after a long day at the hospital\; parents a home for a good night's sleep and a warm meal near the hospital\; and families relief from the financial and emotional burdens of traveling for their child's medical care.\n\n \n\n"The Ronald McDonald House has been such a huge blessing. It really was a place of refuge that alleviated a number of stressors\, so we could focus on our daughters." This was shared by Brandon\, a dad who stayed at the House. In 2017\, we served 430 families who stayed 5\,714 nights. In addition\, last year we started the Happy Wheels Hospitality Cart at MU's Children's Hospital. The cart allows us to serve even more families in need by offering snacks\, personal care items\, toys and games to those spending long hours at the hospital. Since its introduction\, we've served nearly 10\,000 children\, family members\, and hospital staff members.\n\n \n\nAll of this is possible because of our beloved donors\,volunteers and friends.
