Banks started with RFS as the True/False Hospitality Coordinator prior to the 2013 festival. She was named Managing Director of the Cinema in November\, 2018. From 2016 to 2018\, Banks was the Executive Director of the Citizen Jane Film Festival at Stephens College where she grew the festival's program\, with an emphasis on creating an artist retreat for attending filmmakers.
